((i'm gonna post the background again, in case any new people wanna join))
It’s the year 5762 A.C.E, and the world has become a post-apocalyptic wasteland. The mergence of the self-proclaimed “magics” in the past millennium caused new tensions to arise between the existing governments, with the threat of new, more dangerous enemies looming overhead. The thought of recruiting, or at least befriending, these magics before anyone else could became foremost on everyone’s mind, until the drastic measure people began to take to achieve this caused those tensions to escalate into a full-out world war. In the chaos, only the strongest, luckiest, and most devious survived. Now, almost two centuries after the end of the war, two main clans have emerged: the Raemus clan, and the Alkainen clan. The Raemus clan, consisting of only non-magics, sees the war as the fault of the magics, and thinks the world would be better off wiped clean of them. The magics clan, the Alkainen, believes that they are the “Chosen Ones”, meant to deliver the earth from the non-magics who defiled it. They see it as their sacred mission to destroy all non-magics and purify the earth, then rebuild their own civilization of magics. Aside from these two clans, there are those who want only peace and so choose to remain neutral.
Kobai Tsunaki is one of the neutrals, a summoner mage who lived with his grandfather. During his fifteenth year, his grandfather fell terribly ill.on his death bed, he gave Kobai a parcel, telling him that it’s contents were the key to restoring world order, and to bring it to Mount Hasae, on a remote island in the south Pacific. Once there, he was to deliver it to someone called the “Mage of Argena”, who he would find in the Temple of Spica. He warned Kobai to be careful, for there were those who wouldn’t want the package to reach its destination. He said that they were on their way there now to destroy it, and when they arrived in a few days and discovered it wasn’t there, it wouldn’t take them long to go after it. With his dying breath, he warned Kobai never to open the parcel, ever, for any reason, until he had delivered it.
The world is a chaotic place, without government or law enforcers to keep it in check. Thievery and wickedness rule, and there are many who would prefer it stayed that way.
The only real rule is that you need to be part of a group. The three groups are as follows:
1) Clans~ the two existing clans are the Raemus, non-magic clan, and the Alkainen, magics clan. The Raemus clan fights using weaponry such as guns and military hardware, and the Alkainen clan fights using magic. The members of the clans bear a prejudiced grudge. This meaning, an Alkainen would dislike all non-magics, whether or not they were with the Raemus clan, and Raemus members would dislike all mages.
2) Wildcard~ these can be anything like assassins, thieves, or spies; basically anyone involved with the clans but loyal to neither, working for who will pay them.
3) Bender~ Term given to neutrals, people like Kobai. They usually only look out for themselves and their friends. They have no involvement with the clans.
There are no set “bad guys” in this RP. There can be bad Alkainens, and good Alkainens, and good Raemus’, etc. etc. It’s up to you how you play your character.
all you have to do for a bio is provide a basic description, or a picture, your characters name, their gender, their age, and their group.
